One Job & One Customer at A Time:

My Second Client and My First Yelp Review

Every business owner remembers the first review that truly means something — the one that makes all the preparation, the waiting, and the work feel worth it. For me, that moment came with my second official client, who became the first person to leave a public review of Rooftop View Gutter & Window on Yelp.

Showing Up, Doing the Work, and Building Trust

I still remember pulling up to her home. I wanted to prove that even though my business was new, my professionalism wasn’t. I arrived on time, walked the property with her, listened to her concerns about cracked roof tiles, and explained exactly what steps I’d take to keep everything safe. Transparency is something I value, and I made sure she knew the full scope of the job, the price, and even what to expect if a plumbing line happened to be clogged.

I took before-and-after photos to show the full difference, pointed out the problem areas, and explained how she could maintain her gutters moving forward. It was important to me that she felt confident and taken care of — not rushed.

Her Words Meant More Than She Knew

When I saw the review she wrote afterward, it honestly meant a lot. She mentioned my work ethic, my punctuality, my communication, and the pride I bring to every job. She noticed the details I try to focus on every single time — being upfront, being honest, and doing quality work like it’s my own home.

That review wasn’t just feedback. It was motivation. It showed me that even as a brand-new business, I was already building something real.

Moments Like This Keep Me Going

Her review helped early clients trust me. It helped Rooftop View Gutter & Window grow. And it reminded me why I started this journey — to serve people well, to be dependable, and to take genuine pride in the work I do.

More entries on the way as I keep building this brand, one job and one customer at a time.
