Upgrading, The Next Step:

From a Ford Ranger to a Transit Connect

When I first started Rooftop View Gutter & Window, I was working with what I had: a 1999 Ford Ranger. It wasn’t flashy, and it definitely wasn’t built for a professional exterior-cleaning setup, but it got me to my early jobs and helped me get the business off the ground. At the time, I was still balancing my sales career—two years at a BMW dealership and some time at Woodland Motors—saving every dollar I could while slowly building the foundation for my company.

Saving, Selling, and Investing Back Into the Business

Eventually, I made the decision to sell the Ranger. It was bittersweet because that truck was part of the beginning—part of the struggle and the grind. But I knew I needed something better if I was going to grow Rooftop View Gutter & Window into a real, professional operation.

With the savings from my sales jobs and the money from selling the Ranger, I purchased a 2015 Ford Transit Connect. That van represented the next step. It wasn’t just a vehicle—it was an investment in myself, in my business, and in the image I wanted to present to clients.

A More Professional Setup for a Growing Business

Once I got the Transit Connect, everything changed. I finally had the space, organization, and setup I needed for ladders, tools, safety equipment, and cleaning gear. It helped me look more professional, arrive prepared, and work more efficiently on every job.

That van became part of the story—proof that I was moving forward, leveling up, and fully committing to serving clients the right way.

Looking Back With Gratitude

From a 1999 Ranger to a clean, reliable 2015 Transit Connect, the journey reminds me that businesses don’t start perfect. They start with what you have, improve over time, and grow with every step you take.
